1,000 Minutes of Summer Reading Program - Reading Logs will be available beginning July 1st.  Children earn prizes by keeping track of the minutes they read or are read to.

Teen Summer Reading Challenge - Challenge Boards will be available beginning July 1st. Teens will keep track of the hours they read to earn prizes.

July Events

Secrets of the Animal World Revealed - Join us Wednesday, July 10th at 1:00 pm for a live animal program, presented by wildlife educator Mark Carra from FasciNature. We will see a variety of living creatures from around our planet! From an African Lungfish to a snake with legs and more.  This program is perfect for ages 5 and up, but all ages are welcome.  Registration is required.  For more information or to register, please call 716-652-7449 or stop into the library.

Adventures Around the World: Food - Join Ms. Shannon Monday, July 15 at 11:00 am for a fun filled storytime.  Children will hear stories about food, play games, make crafts and have fun! We will have a fun snack.  For ages 3-5.  Please tell the staff about any food allergies when registering.

Travel the World Through Food - Thursday, July 18 at 2:00 pm.  For ages 6-12.  Join us for an adventure around the world.  Hear a story, try a variety of foods, and make candy sushi.  Please tell the staff about any food allergies when registering.

Adventures Outside: Camping - Join Ms. Shannon Monday, July 22 at 11:00 am for a fun filled storytime.  Children will hear camping themed stories, play games, make crafts and have fun! We will have a fun snack.  For ages 3-5.  Please tell the staff about any food allergies when registering.

Glow Paint Party - Tuesday, July 23 at 6:00 pm.  For ages 7-14.  Create original artwork with neon paints under some blacklights.  Dress for the blacklights and potential mess.

Friends of the Library

The Friends of the Marilla Free Library will be having in-person meeting in July 9 at 7:00 pm.  New or interested members are welcome.  The meeting will be held at the Marilla Free Library.  Please call the library at 652-7449 for more information.

Lawn Games

The Marilla Free Library has lawn games available for a 7-day loan period. 

We have Yardzee / Farkle, Bocce Ball, Jenga, Croquet, Viking Bowling, Kan Jam, and Ladder Ball. 

Items must be borrowed from and returned to the Marilla Free Library with an Adult Card.  Stop by the library or call for more information.
