Located at the corner of Chapel and Delaware Road, one mile south of Sheridan Drive. Wheelchair accessible. Parking lot available. 

Public access computers: 42 public access computers (3 Children's PCs, 2 Young Adult PCs, 29 Adult PCs, 6 Laptops and 2 OPACs), networked (printing 10 cents per page for black & white, 25 cents per page for color), Microsoft Office applications, Internet access.  Free WiFi available. "What can I do at a Public Access Computer?"

An Optalec ClearView Video Magnifier (pdf) is available in the library's magazine area on a first-come, first-serve basis.

There are two meeting rooms at the Kenmore Library available for library programs and use by nonprofit organizations and groups. The larger room has a capacity of 47 people and the smaller room has a capacity of 25 people. Meeting rooms will be assigned for use based on availability and room capacity. A meeting room application must be completed.

The Kenmore Library has three Study Rooms available on a first come, first served basis. Two of the study rooms can accommodate up to 5 people, and the small study room can accommodate up to 2 people.

A Display Case is available for use by nonprofit organization and groups.  A Display Case/Exhibit Case Application must be completed.

Copy Machine - Black and White copies are 15 cents each.

Self Service Fax Machine -Faxes cost $1.75 for the first page and an additional $1 per page. You can use your credit or debit card or purchase a fax card at the circulation desk.

    Weekly Drop in Programs for Kids and Families

    No registration required, just stop by and have some fun!

    •  Tuesdays 4:00 - 6:00 PM - STEM Toys.  Explore and learn with a wide variety of building and electronics based toys.  Perfect for curious minds!  Recommended for ages 5-16
    • button pin  Wednesday 5:00 - 7 PM - Button Making.  Get creative and make your own personalized button magnet or keychain.  Great for all ages.
    • dice  Saturdays All Day - Board Games.  Unplug and unwind.  Bring friends and family for a day of board game fun.  We offer a large selection of games for every age group.
    • building bricks  Everyday- Brick Boxes to Go! Can't make it to (or wait for) our next Lego Club?  Then check out a box of bricks and a baseplate, create your build and bring it back to display.  Recommended for ages 6-14.

    craft project  First Saturday of the Month 10:00 AM : Crafterday.   Join us for a monthly seasonally inspired craft project.  Recommended for ages 5-12, but younger kids are welcome with caregiver assistance and older kids if they are interested. Registration is required.

Build a Lego Creation and have it displayed in the Library!  Recommended for ages 6-12.  No registration required.  Can't make it to Lego Club?  Ask for a Bricks to Go kit, where you can check out a container of bricks and a baseplate to create at home and bring back to be displayed.

    Come to the Kenmore Library during the school break and join us for an event filled with activities, sing-alongs, dancing, laughter, and more-with the Snow Queen!  Recommended for ages 3-10.  Registration is required.  Stop in the library or call 716-873-2842 during open hours.     Kids Art : Hosted by the Buffalo Urban League

    Calling all crafty kiddos!  Do you like to paint, color, or draw. Then stop by and join us for an afternoon of creativity. No registration required- just drop in any time between 10-12:30 PM

     

     Leprechaun Launch for ages 6-12

    Thursday, March 13 at 6:30 PM

    Can you design at catapult strong enough to launch your wee leprechaun into the lucky pot of gold?  Join us for a hands-on S.T.E.M. building challenge and put your engineering skills to the test.  Space is limited and registration is required.

     

    Seasonal Story Time Sessions

    Enjoy an interactive story time with engaging stories, songs, and a fun craft.  Offered Seasonally for different age groups and times.  Registration is required and spots can fill up quickly so save the date for when the next session's sign ups begin! 

    Our next series of Story Time Sessions will be held from the third week in April through the last week in May 2025

    Join us for a fun-filled story time featuring engaging stories, finger plays, and lively songs.  Designed for kids age 3-5.  Registration required.

     Family Story Time (ages 5 and under)

    Wednesdays at 6:30 PM January 15 - February 19*

    Bring the whole family for an evening of stories, songs, and crafts! Perfect for ages up to 5.  Registration required.

    *Our previously scheduled story time on February 26 has been cancelled to make way for a special event featuring Daughters of Creative Sound.  This talented group will present a unique performance celebrating culture, storytelling, and music.  Everyone is invited to attend so we hope we will see you there!

    Toddler Time for Two's

    Thursdays at 10:00 AM or 11:00 AM  January 16 - February 27

    Join us for a delightful session designed just for our TWO-RRIFIC friends!  This engaging story time features singing, laughing, reading and playful activities tailored for toddlers.  Registration Required.

    First and Third Tuesday of the Month - Resume Helper (starts in 2025)

    Get one on one help with editing, typing, and setting up your professional resume and/or cover letter.  Great for job seekers of all professions.  Whether you're just looking got some advice on how to improve your current resume or need to start from scratch, we encourage you to take advantage of this great new service.  No registration is necessary, participants will be assisted in the order they arrive.

    Please note: This is a volunteer based program and subject to volunteer availability.  Please call ahead for details.

    AARP Tax-Aide

    Monday and Wednesdays by appointment February 3-April 14*

    The AARP will be providing free tax preparation by appointment starting Monday February 3 and continuing each Monday and Wednesday through April 14.  Call 2-1-1 (choose option 5 for "free tax assistance") to set up and appointment or for more information

    *No appointments will be made for February 17 due to the Presidents Day holiday

     

    Cozy Soups and Stews with the Storybook Cook

    Sunday, February 16 at 1 pm  cancelled due to weather conditions, rescheduled date TBA

    Warm up your winter with this delicious cooking program!  Join Liz Bauld, the Storybook Cook, as she shares new recipes, tip and tricks for making flavorful soups and stews.  Best of all you'll get to taste each dish.  This program is designed for adults and registration is required.  Don't miss this opportunity to learn from a pro and enjoy some cozy comfort food!

     

     City of Distant Neighbors: Histories of Segregation in Buffalo : Presented by James J. Coughlin of Burning Books

    Tuesday, February 25th at 6:00 PM

    This engaging and accessible history explores Buffalo's racial segregation, focusing on key events from 1934-1961 that shaped the city's neighborhoods. It highlights the experience and resilience of Black Buffalonians and examines how historical policies continue to impact communities today.  Inspired by recent challenges, this work invites reflection and discussion on Buffalo's past and future.

    No registration required, all are welcome.

    Toy Story fans look away!  Bad Art Night is back for it's 8th round with a super-special ingredient...old stuffed toys! Get your inner "Sid" on, come play with children's craft supplies and once-loved plushies, and make some terrible art!  Visit the Island of Misfit toys right here at the library- and get ready to use some hot glue!

    Violin Concert

    Sunday March 2 at 1:00 PM

    Listen to live classical music while surrounded by books, a perfect way to relax on a Sunday afternoon!  Join us for a violin concert by students in SUNY Fredonia's School upstairs in the main library area.  No registration is needed- all are welcome.  Program lasts around 30 minutes.

     

    Women of WWII: On the Front Lines and the Home Front

    Tuesday, March 25 at 6:30 PM

    Discover the incredible contributions of American women during World War Two, from military service to civilian efforts like the Red Cross Clubmobile program, which brough comfort to troops worldwide.  Author Barbara Warner Deane will share stories of these remarkable women including those from Central New York

    No registration required, all are welcome.  Books available for purchase at event.
