Saturdays All Day - Family Board Games. Unplug and unwind. Bring friends and family for a day of board game fun. We offer a large selection of games for every age group.
Everyday- Brick Boxes to Go! Can't make it to (or wait for) our next Lego Club? Then check out a box of bricks and a baseplate, create your build and bring it back to display. Recommended for ages 6-14.

First Saturday of the Month 10:00 AM : Crafterday. Join us for a monthly seasonally inspired craft project. Recommended for ages 5-12, but younger kids are welcome with caregiver assistance and older kids if they are interested. Registration is required.

Second Saturday of the Month 10:00 AM : Lego Club. Build a Lego Creation and have it displayed in the Library! Recommended for ages 6-12. No registration required. Can't make it to Lego Club? Ask for a Bricks to Go kit, where you can check out a container of bricks and a baseplate to create at home and bring back to be displayed.

Stop by for a special intergenerational playtime with visitors from Brookdale Senior Living!
Kids can color, read stories, play games, or build with LEGOs—all while making new friends and sharing joyful moments across generations.
This relaxed, drop-in event takes place upstairs in the teen area and is a wonderful way to connect, build community, and have fun together.

Special Events for Kids and Families
Do you have a child between the ages of 6 and 12 who loves books? Then they can apply to become a Kid Librarian! As a Kid Librarian your child will have the chance to create their very own book display- choosing a theme (or going totally random!) with as much or as little help as needed from Jill, one of our Grown-Up Librarians.
Applications are available in the children's area or at the information desk. Once submitted, we'll reach out to schedule a time for your child to put their display together. Stop by or call the library if you have any questions or need more information. We can't wait to see the creative displays your kids come up with!

Seasonal Story Time Sessions
Enjoy an interactive story time with engaging stories, songs, and a fun craft. Offered Seasonally for different age groups and times. Registration is required and spots can fill up quickly so save the date for when the next session's sign ups begin!

A special story time just for babies ages 3 to 23 months! We’ll share songs, rhymes, a short book, and sensory play designed for little ones and their caregivers. Space is limited, so registration is required.

Teen Film Club for ages 13-17
Meets every other Monday from 4:00 PM - 5:00 PM
Think of it as a book club… but for movies. The stories still matter. The themes still get unpacked. We just swap bookmarks for opening credits.
Love the movies? The popcorn, the plot twists, the heated “that ending though” debates on the ride home? If cinema lives rent free in your head, pull up a chair.
Join us every other week in the Teen Area to talk, critique, and occasionally lovingly roast unforgettable films from across the decades. From shadow soaked classics to modern mind benders, nothing is off limits except spoilers before everyone has watched.
Open to ages 13 to 17.

Meet local employers face to face, explore new career paths, and make meaningful connections. No registration is required.
Our volunteer Computer Coach and Resume Helper will also be on site to offer support, tips, and quick guidance.
Professional attire is recommended. Please bring several copies of your resume.

Make a Mug Rug!

Book Bedazzling for Tweens and Teens (ages 11-17)

Bring a personal copy of a book, journal, tablet case, or notebook and hang out with other readers while adding some sparkle. We provide all the bling, you bring the book.

Arabic Calligraphy & Vegetal Arts Workshop

Join us in celebrating Arabic Heritage Month with this hands-on, immersive workshop that introduces participants to Arabic calligraphy and Islamic floral (vegetal) arts through a visual presentation, live demonstration, and guided art-making. Designed for adults, older children, and teens, this program highlights these as living traditions that influence contemporary Middle Eastern and North African art. Participants will learn historical context, practice foundational strokes and patterns, and create a personal artwork. For ages 8 and up. Registration required. When Texas lawmakers seek to review a list of books, librarians find themselves on the front lines of a national debate. No registration is necessary, participants will be assisted in the order they arrive.
