November 2025 (PDF)

Children’s Programs

Talecraft for Tots (PDF)

Tuesdays at 11:00 AM.

Dates: November18. Registration October 23.

 For children ages 3-6 years and their caregivers. We will explore stories and activities to encourage children to develop a love of reading. We sing, read, talk, and craft.

Read&Play (PDF)

Wednesdays at 11:00 AM.

Dates: November 19. Registration October 24.

Best for walkers and toddlers (or children between these developmental stages), and their caregivers. Preschool-age children are welcome. Join us for a story and song followed by open play.

Tail Waggin’ Tutors (PDF)

November 15, 2025, at 10:30-12:00 PMRegistration begins November 1. Therapy dog program. Read to Oakley.

LEGO Club (PDF)

Wednesday, November 19, 2025, at 4:00 PM. Registration begins November 5.

For children ages 5 to 12. Registration is required. Space is limited! The program is free-form building, and children can put their creations in the library! 

Kidding Around Yoga 

Friday, November 14, 2025, at 1:30 PM. Registration begins October 31. For children ages 3-5.  Parent/caregiver must remain with the child. A mat is recommended.


Intergenerational Programs

Hooked on Crochet

Saturday, November 8, 2025, from 11:30 AM. Registration begins October 25.  Learn to crochet, read patterns, or crochet with company. Beginners and experienced crocheters welcome

Makery (PDF)

This is a maker-focused program with a new project each month. At 4:30 PM on Wednesday, November 12 2025. Registration begins October 29.

Everyone over the age of six is welcome. Register online or by phone at 716-741-2650. The program will offer the supplies and support to make an authentic creation. This month, we will be decorating tree slices.


Teen Programs

Neurodivergent Teen Group/Growing with Others

 Focuses on community connection and developing new skills such as self-awareness, social wellness and coping with stress. Register by emailing Patty McCalister, LMHC at patriciamccalisterlmhc@gmail.com Next Meeting: November 4, 2025


Adult Programs

A Study in Sherlock

Monday, November 3, 2025, at 6:30 PM. Registration begins October 20. A group that discusses the various iterations of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s Sherlock Holmes universe.In November, they will be reading “The Adventure of Copper Beeches”.

Chair Yoga Series

Thursdays at 2:00 PM.

Eshelman the Elf has left the North Pole!

He is hiding from Santa and friends again!

We know he is in the Clarence Library, but he does not want to be found.

Eshelman will be in a different location in the library each week. Find him and fill out a slip telling us where he has been hiding for a chance to win a prize.

Entry forms will be at the desk. For ages 3 to 14.

Contest runs December 1 through December 20, 2025.

LEGO Club (PDF)

If you love LEGOs and are between 5 and 12 years old. Register for LEGO Club! From 4:00 -5:00 PM Wednesday, December 3, 2025. Registration begins November 19.

A Study in Sherlock

A group that discusses the various iterations of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s Sherlock Holmes universe. Next meeting: Monday, December 1, 2025, at 6:30 PM for a special holiday version of A Study in Sherlock - "Yuletide Tea at 221B." We will be discussing the short story The Adventure of the Cardboard Box. Registration begins November 17.

Gentle Chair Yoga

Roadrunner (PDF) 

Holiday concert. Oldies and Holiday favorites. Monday, December 4, 2025, at 6:00 PM. Registration begins November 20.

Mindful Meditation

It is a class that is hosted by the Clarence Public Library and Wat Prodketchettharam America guided by Phramaha Piya Jundadal! All are welcome! No meditation experience is necessary. December 8, 2025, at 6:00 PM. Registration begins November 24.

History of the Erie Canal Terminus (PDF)  

Thomas’s recently released book, Infection and Perdition: A Tale of Ambition, Murder and Madness at the Erie Canal Terminus, is a historical novel set in Buffalo’s Canal District during the mid-19th century. Presented by Thomas J. Geelan. Monday, December 15, 2025, at 7:00 PM. Registration begins December 1.

MEMORY/REMINISCE KITS

These kits are designed to support caregivers of individuals experiencing cognitive memory impairment, providing engaging and therapeutic interaction.

How It Works

  • Each Busy Bottle contains sensory items like rice, beads, and buttons.

  • Two laminated cards are included, featuring reminiscence questions and conversation starters.

  • Use the provided dry-erase marker to check off discovered items.

Safety Note

⚠️ Adult use only – Not suitable for children.

Check out our Seed Library!

Seed Library Brochure(pdf)

Our seed library offers a wide variety of free seeds to our community. We provide a variety of vegetable, herb, and flower seeds. Families are allowed up to four packets per year.  Seeds have been donated by patrons and seed companies.  Seeds can be donated by completing a donation form and submitting them with the seeds to the circulation desk.

The Clarence Public Library is partnering with Teach My Kid to Read to provide free access to their Online Literacy Community for resources about early literacy, homeschooling, dyslexia, tutoring, decodables and more!
