February Programs

Children’s Programs

Book Babies
Join librarian Ana on February 27 for baby storytime. Enjoy bouncing, playing, singing, and reading with hands-on books, bubbles, and sensory playtime for caregivers and their little ones up to 18 months. Registration is required starting February 13 at 10:30 AM; call Clarence Public Library at (716) 741-2650 to reserve your spot. Space is limited, and no children over 18 months may attend for safety reasons. Sessions will resume in late February through March.


Chair Yoga Series
Thursdays at 2:00 PM on February 5, 19, and 26, 2026. Registration begins December 22. Instructor Donna Fairlie, CYT-200, DJ Gentle Yoga, LLC, specializing in mobility-challenged participants.

Read&Play (PDF) Enjoy a story and song followed by open play. Preregistration is required. Registration begins February 18 for the March dates and March 25 for April. Ages: Walkers, toddlers, and preschool-age children with caregivers

A St. Patrick’s Day Kidding Around Yoga Join Miss Donna from Kidding Around Yoga for some shamrock-magic-filled yoga classes at the Clarence Public Library. In these classes we will practice yoga poses, mindfulness activities, and enjoy a very special guided relaxation time to leave everyone feeling relaxed and peaceful! KAY classes incorporate games, music and stories. Space is limited and registration is required. Call or stop by the library to sign up! No prior yoga experience is needed. Please bring a yoga mat or towel for each person attending. Ages 3–5. March 17, 2026 at 1:30 PM. Registration begins March 3.

Mystery of the Missing Egg(PDF) The golden egg is missing! You are detectives who must follow clues, solve puzzles, and complete challenges to find the egg before time runs out. Along the way, you will meet characters, unlock secrets, and win prizes. Thursday, March 26, 2026, at 4:00 PM. Registration begins March 12. Ages: 5–12 years

LEGO Club (PDF) Wednesday, March 4, 2026, at 4:00 PM. For children ages 5 to 12.


Intergenerational Programs

Makery (PDF)This is a maker-focused program with a new project each month. At 4:30 pm on Wednesday, March 11, 2026. Registration begins February 25. Everyone over the age of six (to 100+) is welcome. Register online or by phone at 716-741-2650. The program will offer the supplies and support to make an authentic creation. In March, we are painting wooden laser-cut St. Patrick’s Day decorations.

Eggery (PDF) At 4:30 PM on Wednesday, March 25, 2026. Registration begins March 11. Everyone over the age of 6 (100+) is welcome. Register online or by phone at 716-741-2650. For this special Eggery we will (of course!) be painting eggs.

Hooked on Crochet Monday, March 16, 2026 at 4:00–5:30 PM. Call 716-741-2650 to register. Learn how to crochet and read patterns, or just come to crochet with some company! Beginners and experienced crocheters are welcome! Recommended ages 12+. Registration required and begins March 2.

Free Water Safety Class : Free program for families on Saturday, March 28, 2026, at 10:30 AM. Call 716-741-2650 to register. Presented by Gold Fish Swim School.


Teen Programs

Growing with Others Neurodivergent Social Group meets 1st Tuesday of Every Month (Tuesday, 3/3/26) 6:30PM–8:00PM. Patty is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with over 20 years in the Human Services fields, working with individuals with intellectual disabilities and Autism Spectrum Disorder. Adult Programs

A Study in Sherlock Monday, March 2, 2026, at 6:30 PM. Call to register. For March’s installment we will be discussing. The Adventure of the Three Students, which is one of thirteen stories collected in The Return of Sherlock Holmes (1905). It was first published in The Strand Magazine in June 1904 in the U.K. and in Collier’s in the U.S. Call 716-741-2650 to register.

Healthy Living For Your Brain and Body Presented by the Alzheimer’s Association Monday, March 9, 2026, at 2:00 PM. Call 716-741-2650 to register. Join us to learn about research in the areas of diet, nutrition, exercise, cognitive activity and social engagement can help plan for healthy aging.

Seed Library Brochure(pdf)

Our seed library offers a wide variety of free seeds to our community. We provide a variety of vegetable, herb, and flower seeds. Families are allowed up to four packets per year.  Seeds have been donated by patrons and seed companies.  Seeds can be donated by completing a donation form and submitting them with the seeds to the circulation desk.

These kits are designed to support caregivers of individuals experiencing cognitive memory impairment, providing engaging and therapeutic interaction.

How It Works

  • Each Busy Bottle contains sensory items like rice, beads, and buttons.

  • Two laminated cards are included, featuring reminiscence questions and conversation starters.

  • Use the provided dry-erase marker to check off discovered items.
