Our library is located on School Street next to the North Collins Jr/Sr High School. The Library is Wheelchair accessible, has a sizeable parking lot and is equiped with a drop box.

Public access computers: 10 computers and 2 laptops, networked (Mobile Printing and regular printing is 10 cents per page for black & white and 25 cents per page for color) Microsoft Office applications, Internet access, misc. WiFi available.

Black & white copies are available starting at 15 cents per page. Fax machine available for a minimal fee.

Meeting room available for use whenever the library is open; inquire at the desk to sign up to use it.

What's special about the North Collins Library:

  • The North Collins Town Historian can be reached through the library.
  • We have a large window seat for relaxed reading.
  • The library holds many different monthly activities for all ages, including year-round preschool story hour.
  • Many manuals of WNY Historical Adventures are available.
  • We are located adjacent to Schoolhouse #8 History Center & Museum.
  • There is an outdoor pavilion for Summer programs.
  • Last and certainly not least, North Collins has a more than attentive and very pleasant staff housed in an area that is small enough so you won’t get lost AND big enough to find what you need.

    THE LIBRARY WILL BE CLOSED on Friday, July 3rd and Sunday, July 5th in celebration of July 4th weekend.

    Our regular hours of operation are as follows: 

    Sunday 1:00 - 4:00
    Monday 10:00 - 8:00
    Tuesday 2:00 - 8:00
    Wednesday 2:00 - 8:00
    Thursday CLOSED
    Friday 10:00 - 5:00
    Saturday CLOSED

    Highlights for July:

    Did you know the library has kayaks available for checkout on an adult library card? Thanks to the Ralph C. Wilson, Jr Foundation's Rural Library Grant Program we have purchased 4 foldable Tucktec kayaks, paddles and life jackets! Come to the library or give us a call to learn more!

    Unearth a Story Summer Reading Fridays at 11am from July 10-August 14. Registration required

    Friday, July 17th at 11am: Safari Sam's Dino-Tastic Adventure: Experience an enthralling performance that blends music, storytelling, puppetry, and magic while digging into our summer theme of UNEARTH A STORY! Registration helpful. 

    Monday, July 20th at 6pm: Backyard Birding for Beginners. Please call the library to register for this all ages event.

    USA Scavenger Hunt for Kids, all month long

    Summer Reading Badging Program: Complete challenges this summer to earn badges! Finish just one to receive a lanyard to show off your accomplishments. Stop by the library to learn more.

    Mondays

    Virtual and Take-and-Make Craft

    Join us for a bi-weekly craft demonstration on Facebook or Instagram. Stop in during our open hours to pick up craft supplies to make the project at home.

    Kids Book Club

    8–11-year-olds gather on the third Monday (typically) of each month at 3:00 pm.  Call or stop by the library to register and pick up this month's read.

    Teen Book Club

    The teens are taking a break from book club. If you are interested in being a part of this club call the library to express interest.

    Afternoon Book Club for Adults

    Adults meet on the third Tuesday of each month at 2:00 pm. Call or stop by the library to register and pick up this month's read.

    Stitch Together

    Adults meet on the second Tuesday of each month between 5:30 and 7:30.  Bring your current project—or just bring yourself—and join a friendly circle of makers. Needlepoint, crochet, knitting, embroidery—everyone’s welcome. Whether you’re a seasoned crafter or brand new to fiber arts, this is a space to connect, share ideas, and find inspiration.

    Chess Club

    Drop in anytime between 2:00 pm and 7:00 pm each week to play chess All ages and skill levels are welcome.

    Unearth A Story  

    Every week at 11:00 join Miss Alice and Miss Hannah outside in our pavilion for stories, music, crafts and more!

    Freestyle LEGOs:

    Drop by the library each week between 2 pm and 4 pm to create something spectacular using your imagination and our Legos.


     

    LIBRARY OF THINGS 

    Items include: projector, metal detector, Blu-ray player, hand truck, button maker and so much more! These items can be checked out using an adult library card and are available for 7 days.
