Facility Use Policy
Facility Use Policy – For meeting rooms and tabling in libraries located in the City of Buffalo.
Library patrons and staff must follow all health and safety protocols required by the Buffalo & Erie County Public Library, in accordance with the CDC, New York State and the Erie County Health Department. Thank you for doing your part to keep us all healthy.
Use of facility spaces in the Buffalo Branch Libraries and the downtown Central Library is intended for activities conducted or sponsored by the Buffalo & Erie County Public Library, its partners, community organizations and businesses.
Facility spaces are available for use by both Non-Profit organizations and For-Profit businesses located in and outside of Erie County.
Tabling is available only for use by Non-Profit organizations.
Facility use for meetings and programs sponsored or jointly sponsored by the Library have priority.
A signed Application for Facility Use contract (revised as June 22, 2021) and, if applicable, a deposit fee, and/or insurance rider must be received by the library before confirmation can be issued. In fairness to the numerous community organizations and groups that request meeting space, reservations may be limited in frequency.
All meetings must be open to the public.
The following City of Buffalo Library meeting rooms are available for use. Tabling is also available for not-for-profit organizations:

Before submitting an application for meeting room use or tabling in any of the Buffalo branch libraries, please contact the library directly.
Use of the Library means all attendees will comply with the Buffalo & Erie County Public Library’s "Rules of Conduct," "Facility Use Policy" and any CDC, New York State or Erie County Health Department guideline currently in effect at the time. The Mason O. Damon Auditorium at the downtown Central Library is a newly-renovated, ADA-compliant, state-of-the-art room with permanent seating, an elevated stage, restrooms and a self-service coat area. There is an ADA accessible entrance at Clinton Street between Ellicott and Oak Streets. The Auditorium is available for use only during regular Library open hours
