Thursday, April 23rd 5:00 pm-8:00 pm - Friends of the Library Members Night. Individual Friends memberships will be available at the door for $5.00.  Current members: bring your card for admittance.

Friday, April 24th 10:00 am-5:00 pm - General Sale - items priced as marked.

Saturday, April 25th 10:00 am-3:00 pm - Bag Sale: fill a bag for $5.00.  Bags will be provided.

All three days: Bake Sale - While supplies last.


Friends of the Grand Island Memorial Library Annual Meeting (png) Wednesday, May 6th.  Business meeting @ 6:00pm followed by: 

Local author, Bobby Withrow @ 6:30pm.  Bobby will discuss his book The Stormy Waters on the Lake and the writing process. Registration is required.  Please call 716-773-7124.  Refreshments provided.  All are welcome! You do not need to be a Friends member to attend.

Adult Craft Night: Hello Spring Sign Painting (png)  PROGRAM IS FULL Tuesday, April 28th 6:00pm-7:30pm.  Ages 18+.  Registration is required.  Please call 716-773-7124.  Join us for a fun evening of crafting as we design cheerful 'Hello Spring' signs - perfect for brightening your home.  All materials provided - just bring your imagination. 

DIY Rain Barrell & Composting Workshop (png) Wednesday, April 29th 6:30pm-7:30pm.  No registration required. Presented by the Erie County Department of Environment and Planning and the WNY Stormwater Coalition. Learn how to turn April Showers into May flowers with rain water and compost.  The example rain barrel will be raffled off to one lucky participant. 

Electric Vehicles Part 1: What's the Deal? (png) - Saturday, May 16th 1:00p-3:00pm.  Retired Engineer Bill Brandoni will discuss his research into EVs before purchasing one and his experiences since.  All questions and comments are welcome.  Pros and Cons, Charging options, Myths & Facts.  Registration is required. Electric Vehicles Part 2: Home Chargers (png) - Saturday, May 23rd 1:00pm-3:00pm.  Retired Engineer Bill Brandoni is back with part two of his EV series to discuss his research into EV chargers before installing one and his experiences since.  All questions and comments are welcome.  Best chargers, Installation tips, Problems & Solutions. Read To A Dog(png) Saturday May 9, 1 - 3 pm. All ages. Pick out a good book and practice reading out loud to a good listener. All our furry friends are certified therapy dogs. Registration is required. Stop in or call 716-773-7124 to register for your 20 minute one-on-one session. 

Itty Bitty Lap Sit & Story Time(png) Thursdays May 7, May 14, and May 21 from 10 am - 11 am. Join Miss Stefanie for songs, rhymes, lap bounces, a story, and lots of tummy time and play time. Ages 0-18 mo. with caregiver. This story time is designed for the itty bitty littles who are not yet walking. Registration Required. Please call 716-773-7124 to reserve a spot.  

Toddler Story Time(png) Saturdays May 2, May 9, May 16, & May 23 from 10 am - 11 am.  Toddler Story Time is designed specifically for little ones who are now mobile and ready to explore the world through motion. For (roughly) ages 18 months to 3 or 4 years old, with parent or caretaker. There will be an emphasis on early childhood literacy, achieved through reading, storytelling, music, movement, and singing, but includes learn-through-play toys and puzzles. Preschool Story Time(png) Tuesdays May 5, May 12, & May 19 from 10 am - 11 am. Join Miss Stefanie for stories, singing, dancing, and play time, as we begin focusing on school-appropriate behaviors and advanced childhood literacy skills. Ages 3-5 with caregiver.
