Hamburg Library Seed Share

The Hamburg Library Seed Share is officially OPEN! We have a large variety of flower, herb and vegetable seeds available for our community to grow at home, for free. Inside the Seed Share are envelopes of 10-15 seeds, and resources for growing and saving seeds. The seeds currently available are due to generous donations from S.O.L.E. Seeds of Living Education, Baker Creek Heirloom Seed Company, Seed Savers Exchange and Pase Seeds in North Collins. We encourage community members who take seeds also save seeds from the harvest to return to help us maintain seed stock. The Seed Donation Form can be found inside the Seed Share or here (pdf).

Thank you to everyone who helped us get this project going! We are especially grateful to Tricia Miller, Jim Gang and Sean McSkimming. Their contributions turned an idea into reality!

In April 2021 we held a Seed Starting program with the Master Gardeners of Erie County. Here is a summary of the talking points and resources discussed! (pdf)

In June 2021 we held a Soil Health and Testing program. Master Gardener Lyn has provided additional resources
