EBL Ebook Library provides 24/7 access to an online collection of Ebooks in a wide range of nonfiction subject areas. Titles can be browsed, read online, downloaded to a computer, or transferred to a variety of devices. EBL Ebooks are protected with Adobe Digital Rights Management (DRM), which controls their loan periods, download, copy/paste, and print options.
EBL Ebooks can be downloaded on either a PC or Mac with Adobe Digital Editions (ADE) installed. ADE is free software. A download link for ADE is available in your EBL Account.
EBL Ebooks are only available in EPUB or PDF format. Titles must first be downloaded to ADE on your computer, and then transferred via USB to a wide range of readers including the NOOK and Sony eReader. Titles cannot be transferred to Kindle Readers since titles are not available in Kindle format.
EBL Ebooks can be downloaded directly to an iPhone, iPod Touch, and iPad with the Bluefire app installed on the device. The app is free and may be downloaded from iTunes. Once Bluefire is installed, open your EBL Account using the web-browser on your device and click “Download.” The book will automatically download into the Bluefire app.
EBL Ebooks cannot be downloaded directly to Android devices. Ebooks can be transferred from ADE installed on a computer to android devices including Acer Tablets and Smartphones, Samsung Tablets and Smartphones, and the Kindle Fire (an Android device). To transfer an EBL Ebook, you must first install the Aldiko Book Reader app on the device. This app is free and may be downloaded from Google Play [please note, depending on your device, you may also need to set up specific driver software on your computer for USB transfer or consider using a memory card to complete a transfer]. Using the Kindle Fire to illustrate USB transfer, you will download Ebooks from your EBL Account to ADE on your computer, then attach the Kindle Fire to the computer with its USB cable. You will see a Kindle icon under the bookshelves on the lower left portion of the ADE screen. For the first EBook transfer, you will need to authorize your Kindle Fire. Once done, drag and drop downloaded Ebooks from ADE into the Kindle Fire. Disconnect the Kindle Fire from the computer, and open the Aldiko Book Reader app to view your Ebooks.
