MEDIA RELEASE

The Lancaster Public Library, 5466 Broadway in Lancaster, will be closed from Monday, March 19 through Sunday, April 1 for electrical updates and installation of new carpeting. The drop boxes at the Lancaster Public Library will remain open for book and other material returns. Patrons may also return library materials to any other Buffalo & Erie County Public Library branch.

The Anna M. Reinstein Memorial Library, 2580 Harlem Rd, Cheektowaga, will be closed from Monday, March 12 through Sunday, March 25 for installation of new windows. The drop boxes at the Anna M. Reinstein Memorial Library will remain open for book and other material returns. Patrons may also return library materials to any other Buffalo & Erie County Public Library branch.

ERIE COUNTY, NY— Erie County and its Commission on the Status of Women, the Buffalo & Erie County Public Library System and numerous partner organizations will kick off March as Women’s History Month at the downtown Central Library, 1 Lafayette Square, on Thursday, March 1, 2012.

You don’t have to wait until the summertime to grab a hold of a great book. The Buffalo & Erie County Public Library System announces its Winter Reading 2012 competition. Read a book, write a short online review and you are on your way to winning great prizes like a Kindle Fire, fleece blanket, travel mug or new books.

KENMORE BRANCH LIBRARY DELAYS REOPENING

The Town of Tonawanda Public Library – Kenmore Branch which was temporarily scheduled to be closed from January 23 thru February 5, 2012, will extend the closing due to construction.

The Library will now reopen on Wednesday, February 8, 2012.
