Located on Buffalo Street (Route 62) between Pleasant Avenue and Union Street, this lively library is nestled in the village of Hamburg. If you are looking for a great film collection, preschool story hours or a comfortable place to catch up on the daily news, the Hamburg Public Library may be the place for you. 

Our parking lot entrance is located on Union Street near the Buffalo Street intersection.

Free WiFi. 21 public access computers plus 6 laptops that can be checked out for use within the building. Networked printing is 10¢ per page B&W and 25¢ per page color. Copy machine at 25¢ per page.

The Hamburg Library has a meeting room that can be available for community meetings. Please complete the following application and return to the main desk.

Book Clubs at the Hamburg Library

Director's Book Club:

Meets the third Friday of every month at 11:00am. Please join us for a great discussion. The list of upcoming books are as follows:

Friday, December 15 at 11am - Read any holiday story and bring a dish to share.

 

Page to Screen Book Club:

Sometimes, the book just is better than the movie! Join us to discuss books that have been made into movies or TV shows! Meets the last Thursday of every month at 6:30pm.

Thursday December 28 at 6:30pm - "Let it Snow" by John Green, Lauren Myracle, and Maureen Johnson.

There will not be regular storytime on Monday or Friday during the month of December. Storytime will resume in January!

Lapsit with Miss Ashley: Wednesdays at 11:30. Saturdays December 9 and 23 at 10. Ages birth-2.

Family Movie Night: December 1, 6:30pm. Craft and a movie! Registration Required.

Phoebe the Reading Dog: Sunday December 3 and 17 from 12-1. Read a story to Phoebe the Reading Dog!

Page to Screen Movie Night: December 7, 6:30pm. A Christmas Carol, 1938 version. 

LEGO Club: December 9, 1-3pm. Make a LEGO creation! Registration required.

Holiday Storytime: December 12, 6:30pm. Join us for stories and a craft! Registration required.

Director’s Book Club and Potluck: December 15, 11am. Read any holiday book and bring a dish to share!

Cookbook Club: December 15, 6:30pm. Cookie exchange! Bring in your favorite cookie to share.

Make A Graham Cracker House: December 16 at 10 or 11. Come and create your own edible treat! Open to children up to 12 years old. Please register at the desk for your preferred session.

Civil War and its WNY Connection: December 16, 3-4:30pm. Hear the story of Battery L of the 1st US Artillery and learn about the Western New York connection to the Civil War through original documents. The talk is co-sponsored by the Buffalo Civil War Roundtable.

Page to Screen Book Club: December 28, 6:30pm. Join us to discuss Let it Snow by John Green, Maureen Johnson, and Lauren Myracle. The book comprises three separate stories and follows three different teenagers as they experience a huge snow storm in the town of Gracetown during the Christmas season.
